You Tell Um Story

You Tell Um Story
" We have heard with our ears, O God, Our fathers have told us, what deeds You did in their days, in days of old." Psalm 44:1 The elder of the aboriginal clan has lived a long life. He’s in his ninties now and his body is frail. He turns in his bed to see his young grandson faithfully attending to him. He musters up enough strength to draw a last breath "Grandson." His voice now becomes a whisper, Little Arrow leans toward his mouth. "You tell um story." With that, the grandfather closes his eyes this side of Heaven. In the Aboriginal culture telling stories is a vital part of their lives. They believe that the way a person lives his or her life tells a story. What the grandfather was saying is" you walk this journey well so that you leave a good story behind." We as Americans love stories as well. Look at all the novels on the bestsellers lists. We love to be inspired by other’s victories and we cry over people’s pain. We sometimes even see ourselves in the pages. Jesus Himself loved to tell stories because He knew better than anyone that they would touch the human heart. The greatest story in the history of eternity is all about Him. Even when he goes beyond his earthly life to the life of the early church it is still all about him. I often wonder, if the Bible were a continual book, for example, if the pages were being written daily….what would our lives read like? Ponder that thought for a moment. The truth is , whether you consider it or not, you are daily writing the story of your life. In years to come when you leave this earth people will retell that story. I wonder what your defining moments were? Who were the most important characters? Who was the one person you ran after most? Who were your heroes? When all is said and done will the last page of your story read "in the journey of life____________ lived so that all could see Jesus"? Will Jesus be the main character of the story? I pray that of all the things people remember of me the one shining truth would be….she loved her Lord. End of story.

Father, Your word tells us they overcame by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony. A testimony is so vital. May we walk this journey in such a way that our story is actually all about you!

In Jesus naam, amen.

NEGLECTED BEAUTY

NEGLECTED BEAUTY

"Neglected beauty" is a term for people, places and things in our world that may be overlooked, hidden or neglected. We live in chaotic times, taking a moment out of our day to spot something beautiful, no matter what condition it is in can really make a difference. When we identify beauty, serotonin is released in our brains, causing a lift in our moods, which is always a GOOD thing. The message received becomes one filled with hope…”

Psa 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

A friend of mine had a personal life changing experience when God revealed the Truth about this word to him. As a young boy he was skinny and had very thin legs as a result he became a mockery to the learners at school. One day someone shared this verse and the Truth of it became alive to him! God’s word freed him and touched him in a deep way! He became the first member of a new church. Today, grown up he continues to love and serve the Lord with such passion. He realised that He is in fact beautiful and that it doesn’t matter how others sees him. What matters is how God sees him!

Zec 9 :17 “For how great is His goodness, and how great is His Beauty”

May we find the most beautiful ONE.The One who died for us.May we find HIM in everything we do. May we look for HIM in every situation and in every person. May we not neglect to recognise His beauty, for it is all around us!

Psa 96:6 “Honour and majesty are before Him: strength and beauty are in His sanctuary”

“Sometimes beauty is serious, other times it has a sense of humour about it. Take a time out and look around… neglected beauty is waiting to be found”.

" He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart… " Ecc 3:11

Slow Dance

This is a poem written by a teenager with cancer..

She wants to see how many people get her poem.

It is quite the poem, Please pass it on.

This poem was written by a terminally ill young girl in a
New York Hospital.

It was sent by a medical doctor – Make sure to read what is in the closing statement AFTER THE POEM.

SLOW DANCE

Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a butterfly’s erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

You better slow down.
Don’t dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won’t last.

Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?

You’d better slow down
Don’t dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won’t last.

Ever told your child,
We’ll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?

Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say,’Hi’

You’d better slow down.
Don’t dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won’t last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift…. Thrown away.

Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.

The Other Name for Peace : JESUS

Grace to you, and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Ephesians 1:2).

Grace to you: God gives it and we as people can also give it. But He is the only one who can give PEACE!

Peace from God our Father: He is the giver of all good things, everything needed for life and Godliness. EVERYTHING that has got to do with HIM!!! He is our Father who conceived us in His heart before the foundation of the world. He cannot but love us! He wants us to be so consumed with Him, even as He is truly consumed with us. His thoughts toward us are for good and not evil.

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!
If I would count them, they are more than the sand
(Psalm 139:17-18).

AND Peace from the Lord Jesus Christ: God gave the consummation of His peace through His most prized possession, His SON! He made His SON PEACE. "Jesus is our Peace". He made His PEACE, in the PERSON of JESUS CHRIST, visible, comprehendable, receivable and applicable in the lives of those who are asking for it!

Being Jesus Christ: Man reaching to God, all we need to do is ask

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:7).

Christ Jesus: God reaching to man this time. A relationship where God meets our needs and gives us good things and give it even before we ask.

When we ask for God’s PEACE, we are in fact asking for HIS SON JESUS: THE PRINCE OF PEACE! This PEACE being Jesus Himself: He loves us just as the Father loves us !

For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility
(Ephesians 2:14).

The FATHER , SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT LOVES US SO MUCH THAT THIS PEACE IS A REALITY IN OUR LIVES! Jesus becomes REAL. We can truly Know Him, and experience the most AMAZING relationship that we will ever have….

Thank you Father for revealing yourself through Jesus and for giving us your Holy Spirit to teach us about you.

GOD’S LOVE

Love is patient, love is kind
Love consoles, a troubled mind
Love is humble, love is meek
Love is strong, when we are weak

Love is caring, love is pure
Love is faithful, nothing’s truer
Love is loyal, love defends
Love lays down, its life for friends

Love is goodness, love delights
Love embodies, all that’s right
Love is better, love excels
Love extends, beyond ourselves

Love is action, love is prayer
Love is truth, to conquer fear
Love is hopeful, love redeems
Love revives, our shattered dreams

Love is passion, love is zeal
Love empowers, hearts to heal
Love is joyful, love is glad
Love is comfort, to the sad

Love is gentle, love is just
Love is tender, to the touch
Love is higher, love exceeds
Love endures, beyond our needs

Love is broader, love is deep
Love abounds, to all who seek
Love is peaceful, love is calm
Love protects, to keep from harm

Love is steadfast, love abides
Love restores, our broken lives
Love is thankful, love is blessed
Love is wiser, love is best

Love is richer, love is great
Love is triumph, over hate
Love is generous, love is free
Love exists, eternally

Love is yearned for, love is sought
Love is found, within God’s court
Love is noble, love is brave
Love is Jesus’, power to save

Love is mercy, love is grace
Love forgives, the human race
Love is endless, love persists
Love survives, for God exists

Love is perfect, love prevails
Love remains, when all else fails

You will show me the path of life!!

You will make Me know the way of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy. At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore
(Psalm 16:11).

When we enter into a Love Walk with Jesus Christ we enter into the most beautiful path. Many times this path may not be clear. It may not even make sense to us and others but, the Lord calls us not to understand everything but to simply be obedient and trusting.

The steps of a good man are ordered by Jehovah; and He delights in his way
(Psalm 37:23).

Sometimes it seems as if we are actually going nowhere but all we need to do is continue. The Lord did promise to "never leave nor forsake us" (Hebrews 13:5).

Cause me to walk in the path of Your Commandments; for I delight in them
(Psalm 119:35).

As we continue to persevere with Him on this extraordinary journey we will know Him more, we will see with His eyes, we will hear with His ears and we will have His heart.

As we continue on this path we will actually do what Isaiah said:

Pass! Pass through the gates; prepare the way of the people. Raise up! Raise up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a banner for the peoples
(Isaiah 62:10).

We will be able to:

Prepare the way of Jehovah, make straight a highway in the desert for our God
(Isaiah 40:3).

So, let us go boldly on this adventurous path, the ONLY path leading to LIFE!

OPEN HEAVEN!

He first totally razes that vain and pompous edifice that human art and power had erected, and from its horrible ruins a new structure is formed by His power only.
Jeanne Guyon

Yes, His structure is not made by human hands or mind but a heavenly one and HE admires it and choose to come and live in it

When we open our Lives to HIM then He comes and takes us exactly where we should be in life.

An open heaven requires an open heart. The answer does not matter then, because we are in right standing with Him. His WILL can then be accomplished in and through us. In return we WILL see Heaven and all its splendour! We WILL know the WILL of the Father! We WILL see the needs of those around us and we WILL be moved with compassion and fervour to GO! We WILL return, bringing with us many souls into GLORY – Having reaped, even at places where we didn’t sow! Like Jacob, who saw the Angels ascending and descending from Heaven, we WILL also see the glory of God!!

MY BELOVED IS MINE AND I AM HIS !

Come To Him!

He is the author of eternal life! Those who have tasted of His goodness do not have a choice but to draw closer to Him. In Him alone dwells all the fullness.

..because all the fullness was pleased to dwell in Him…
(Colossians 1:19).

AND

For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
(Colossians 2:9).

He is the God of the whole earth!

For all things were created in Him, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, the visible and the invisible; whether thrones, or lordships, or rulers, or authorities, all things have been created through Him and for Him.
(Colossians 1:16).

He is the One who decided that you and I should be born. It is His goodness that even today, right now, draws men and women all over the world into His Love. His heart still long to have fellowship with His creation as it was in Eden. Imagine that we know the very Creator of all, He is reaching out to you and me, calling out our names in the cool of the day, because He wants to be with us. Who could resist such a persistent and ardent lover? Continuously drawing us to come into deeper intimacy with Him! Never growing tired of sharing moments of love, joy and ecstasy with us. He wants us to TRULY KNOW HIM! Yes, he longs for us to LIVE HIM in this cold and dying world. Wanting to heal and empower us with His love so that we can ultimately point others to Him to experience Who He is.

If you find yourself on the outside looking in because you are dry, hurting, angry or not trusting Him enough – what ever your reason, the fact still remains He loves you and is waiting and longing to be kind to you. His arms are wide open, longing to embrace you and love you the way you are supposed to be loved. To be loved unconditionally, no matter what your past or current state looks like. We have EVERYTHING to gain if we do come to Him – The Lord Jesus!

Jehovah has appeared to me from afar, saying, Yea, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness I have drawn you.
(Jeremiah 31:3).

AND

Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest
(Matthew 11:28).

With such a glorious invitation an invitation to live closer to THE GOD OF ALL THE EARTH WHO LONGS TO BE GRACIOUS TO ALL – I cannot help but ask: How can we not BUT come to Him?! No! Not just with the conditional bits we want to give but, with our all as He gave His UNCONDITIONAL ALL!
